Growth curves for average body weights of broilers were compared with growth curves for individuals using three models: Bertalanffy, Gompertz, and Logistic. A total of 141 males and females from two commercial lines were studied: 24 females and 32 males from line 1, and 64 females and 21 males from Line 2. individual body weights were recorded weekly, from hatching through 6 weeks of age. Coefficients of determination, residual standard errors and Durbin-Watson statistics were used to determine goodness of fit.
