Abstract

Throughout the history, people have expressed their feelings and thoughts, and their self-meaning in art. The woman, on the other hand, has been the subject of art throughout the ages both due to her aesthetic stance and has directed art as an artist. Women from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, from the Renaissance to the modern age; The diversity of female depictions in art branches such as painting, music, sculpture, ceramics and literature and the success of female artists are collected in this book.

Ege University Application and Research Center of Women Studies organized the 1st International Symposium on Women in the Triangle of Art, Aesthetics and Violence on March 5-6, 2020, within the framework of March 8, International Women's Day. Some of the articles in this book were presented at this symposium. This book, which is the publication of Ege University, Application and Research Center of Women Studies, focused on the areas where women meet with art.
