Abstract

A perspective was developed with the ORF software package, for the problem in designing wind and photovoltaic autonomous hybrid power systems with optimum cost and in optimum sizes. The ORF software package allows designing of wind energy power systems, photovoltaic power systems, and wind-photovoltaic hybrid power systems suitable for energy demands specified for 81 cities in Turkey and their 1,200 counties in total with optimum cost and in optimum size. In this article, designing wind-photovoltaic hybrid power systems included electrical loads for a typical house for Ankara county and neighborhood towns. The results are compared for each town.
