Effects of organic chicken manure on nitrate accumulation and nutrient
element content of broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. Italica)
This research was carried out in the research and practice area of Ege University, Odemis Vocational Training
School. Bessini was used as trial material. Trial was established in randomized block design with 3 replications and
control, organic chicken manure (0, 2, 4, 6 t da-1
) and mineral fertilizers were used. In the study, N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe,
Cu, Zn and Mn values of broccoli leaves and these elements and also NO2¯N, NO2, NO3¯N, NO3 values in broccoli
heads were determined. N, P, Ca, Cu and Mn values of broccoli heads was observed to be affected from the application
at a statistically significant level (P<0.01 and P<0.05). P, Na, Zn and Mn values of broccoli leaves has been determined
from the applications at a statistically significant level. In the experiment, organic chicken manure at an increasing rate
depending on the application, the values total NO3 in the heads of the broccoli has been identified a statistically significant
increase in. The application of 6 t da-1 has been high value of NO3.
